Beyond the rooms there is a coffee house on site, a shared kitchen with dining table and refrigerator, a shared lounge and TV area, an outdoor seating corner and even a barber and beauty shop. Private and express check-in, daily housekeeping, luggage storage and car hire keep a short city break simple, while free WiFi — rated 9.8 by guests, the property's highest score — reaches every area of the building.

Plan your stay at Villa Noem

In the centre of Tirana, a short walk from Skanderbeg Square, the House of Leaves and the National Museum of History.

The hotel's rooms

Villa Noem has five room types, between 17 and 24 square metres, split between doubles for two and triples that sleep three. They share the same core: air conditioning, soundproofing, hardwood or parquet floors, a private entrance, a flat-screen TV and an en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower, free toiletries, hairdryer and slippers.

What sets them apart is the balcony and the bed layout. Four of the five open onto a private balcony with city views; the compact deluxe double is the only one without, and in exchange it is described with the fullest bathroom kit, a minibar and a dining area. Triples can be arranged with three singles, with a king bed plus an extra single, or around a sofa bed.

Location and what to see

Getting there

Tirana International Airport Mother Teresa is about 13 km by road from Villa Noem, roughly 18 to 25 minutes by taxi depending on traffic. The cheapest alternative is the airport bus, which runs every hour around the clock between the terminal and Skanderbeg Square for about 400 lek; from the drop-off beside the Opera House it is a walk of little more than ten minutes to the hotel. Taxis are metered, but agreeing the fare in advance is common practice and local ride-hailing apps usually work out cheaper. Once you are in town you will barely need transport at all: the hotel sits on Rruga e Bogdanëve, a calm street inside the central ring, and nearly everything worth seeing is within a twenty-minute walk. Bear in mind that the property has no parking, so arriving by car is the least convenient option.

What to see

Start at Skanderbeg Square, about ten minutes away on foot: the Et'hem Bey Mosque, the Clock Tower — some ninety steps up to a rooftop view — and the mosaic façade of the National Museum of History all face onto it. Closer to the hotel, the House of Leaves tells the story of the communist-era secret police inside the building where it actually operated; Bunk'Art 2, just off the square, continues the same story underground, while the far larger Bunk'Art 1 sits on the eastern edge of the city beside the Dajti Ekspres cable car, which climbs to Mount Dajti in about fifteen minutes and is easily combined with it in one afternoon. When you have had enough of museums, Rinia Park and the Blloku district to the south are where Tirana eats and drinks in the evening. Spring and autumn — roughly April to June and September to October — bring the mildest weather; August is hot and November the wettest month of the year, so plan indoor stops if you travel then.
